A Celebrated Debut on the International Stage
As the only Vietnamese designer invited to participate, Trinh Châu brought a distinctly Vietnamese perspective to the international runway, presenting a collection that explores the relationship between fashion, nature, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage.
The collection received further recognition with the Best Collection award, highlighting its distinctive creative direction and strong cultural identity.

When the Humblest Materials Become Fashion
At the heart of “MỘC” is a simple question: where does beauty truly begin?
Rather than relying on precious or extravagant materials, Trinh Châu looks to the everyday objects and traditions that have long been part of Vietnamese life.
The collection draws inspiration from rice straw, coconut fiber, and traditional Vietnamese weaving. Materials often associated with rural landscapes and everyday craftsmanship are carefully processed, woven, layered, and sculpted into distinctive fashion forms. The result is a collection where natural textures meet contemporary silhouettes and three-dimensional structures.
Its palette of warm gold, soft beige, and earthy brown evokes harvest fields, sunlight, and the warmth of the Vietnamese countryside. The woven elements and layered textures retain the organic character of the original materials while giving them a refined and modern expression.
Through “MỘC,” Trinh Châu presents a different perspective on luxury. Beauty does not always come from rarity. Sometimes, it comes from the creativity and craftsmanship used to transform something simple into something extraordinary.
16 Young Models, Four Countries, One Cultural Story
The collection was brought to life by 16 young models from Vietnam, Malaysia, China, and Canada, creating a diverse cast that reflected the international spirit of the event.
Ten models represented Vietnam, joined by three young Malaysian models and two teen models from Canada. Their presence added different personalities and cultural perspectives to the runway while allowing “MỘC” to reach audiences through a new generation of fashion talents.
The wider event also welcomed young talents and representatives from countries including Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines. Creating a vibrant meeting point for emerging fashion voices across Asia and beyond.
For Trinh Châu, this international collaboration is an important part of the collection’s story. Vietnamese heritage is not presented as something confined to the past, but as a living source of inspiration that can continue to evolve through contemporary fashion.
